ROHNER JUNE FAQ: Am I compliant?

Here are a few regulations to consider when purchasing a spray booth:

  • National Electrical Code NFPA 70 designates paint spray booths or rooms as explosion hazard areas.
  • International Fire Code 1504 - Any spray operation in excess of 9 sq. ft. per day must be in an approved spray booth or spray room
  • Environmental Protection Agency CFR 40 - Requires that any paint applications containing heavy metals must meet special filter requirements.
  • Ventilation - OSHA 1910 - All spraying areas shall be provided with mechanical ventilation adequate to remove and capture overspray.
