Finishing Line for Bicycle Manufacturing

One of our clients needed to quickly upgrade their finishing line for one of their new customers - a bicycle manufacturing company that was on-shoring their manufacturing back to the U.S. from overseas. Our client needed four batch ovens added to their finishing line to provide a custom, proprietary decal finishing process for the bicycle company. The ovens needed to be versatile to accommodate a wide range of temperatures, controls, and recipes in order to provide the right environment for the decal process. 

The Challenge
One of the biggest hurdles was the lead time for this project. Our customer needed the ovens built and installed in just 8 weeks, when a typical build like this would usually take 14-16 weeks. Our team understood the importance of the job for our customer to deliver the finished product in quick timeline. We were the only manufacturer that would commit to the quick turnaround because we knew we could deliver. 

The Solution
The engineering team at Rohner knew the customer was on a tight timeline, so they designed and built the ovens that could be integrated into the current finishing system with a quick turnaround in mind. The team installed onsite at our customer’s facility so they could make adjustments as needed and ensure the temperatures of each oven was according to the very specific process.
