New Paint Booth for HVAC Industry Supplier

One of our clients refurbishes and re-certifies refrigerant tanks for the HVAC industry. As the industry requirements have changed from disposable tanks to rechargeable and refillable tanks, our customer tests, strips, and repaints tanks to meet the increased demand. They were struggling to keep up with their current finishing system as there was significant manual work required to refinish the tanks. As the refinished tanks require two colors of paint for industry requirements, the team had to manually tape off the tanks and run them through the finishing process twice. The Rohner team was able to identify ways to streamline the finishing process by integrating new equipment and automation into their existing finishing system that would allow them to use two paint colors at the same time. We provided a new open face booth and application system with conveyor openings so the tanks could easily move through the process without any manual intervention.

One of our previous customers used a similar system for oxygen tanks so we were able to show our customer how this process could work before they implemented a similar system. This new system dramatically reduced the time spent on finishing the refrigerant tanks. They now save 8 days per month in production time due to this new system. Integrating the new paint booth and application system has increased their production, reduced manual processes, and improved their finishing operations significantly.
